Chris Cornell Dies at 52, Just Days Away from Houston Show, The Cause of His Death Has Been Released

Everybody woke up this morning to some very terrible news. The most powerful and stunning voice of rock music was found in his hotel by a colleague last night. Sources say Chris was locked in his bathroom and was not responding, he was pronounced dead on the scene by authorities. 

CNN released an update to this tragedy. The cause of his death is the following:

Chris Cornell, lead singer of Soundgarden and Audioslave, hanged himself, the Wayne County (Michigan) Medical Examiner's Office announced Thursday in a statement.

The cause of death has been determined as suicide by hanging, the statement said, adding that a "full autopsy report has not yet been completed." - CNN

Earlier a representative of Cornell said his death was "sudden and unexpected", for the singer appeared to be physically healthy and in good shape. We are devastated to announce that this was the cause for his death. Chris Cornell was set to play at Revention Music Center in Downtown Houston Texas next Thursday May 25th. The venue has released the following statement:


I personally attended to their concert the last time they were in Houston, Texas when they opened for Nine Inch Nails. Chris Cornell has always been one of my favorite rock/alternative vocalists and I will never forget the power in his melodies. Please join us in mourning an incredible artist.
