iHeartMedia Houston Raises Approximately $700,000 During “St. Jude Week”

HOUSTON, TX - (December 12, 2022) – iHeartMedia Houston announced today that the sixth annual SUNNY 99.1 St. Jude Radiothon raised over $355,000 to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. On Thursday, December 8 and Friday, December 9, listeners were encouraged to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude by becoming a Partner in Hope and donating $19 a month.

The week began with iHeartMedia hosting the St. Jude Houston Golf Classic, Monday December 5 at the Golf Club of Houston. The event was led by Eddie Martiny, President of iHeartMedia Houston, and with the leadership of on-air personalities Michael Berry and Doug Pike. The St. Jude Houston Golf Classic raised over $336,000. Major sponsors of the 2022 iHeartMedia events included KBR, Gallery Furniture, Silver Eagle, Gringo’s, US Coins & Jewelry, and Lupe Tortilla.

Since 2013, iHeartMedia Houston has raised over $4.3 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
