We've seen multiple TikToks showing people finding hidden rooms in their houses, a covered closet, and secret basements discovered in old buildings, but what about an entire abandoned fast-food restaurant in an active mall?

Tom Dahlke is the general manager of the Concord Mall in Wilmington, Delaware and he told local news, WPVI-TV that officials at the mall were completely unaware of the fully intact Burger King restaurant complete with vintage decor until a photo snapped by mall vendor, Jonathon Pruitt went viral on Twitter.

Dahlke told the outlet, "It's kind of cool. When I first saw it, I was blown away myself," and clarified that he doesnt know how long the eatery has been concealed behind the wall, as the mall's current management company took over in January 2020.

However, a Twitter user replied to the viral post with her own video of the lost Burger King. @loserskwaddd responded claiming that the space was used as a storage room for a job she had at the mall back in 2019 and also claimed that the mall's previous management was aware of the abandoned restaurant.

The video below was originally posted to the New Castle County Government's Facebook page, and shows Dahlke taking New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer on a tour of the retro Burger King.

Dahlke spoke of the former Burger King's future plans and explained that it will soon be available for rent.

"It is kind of cool to have something that nostalgic here in the building. We're hopeful to rent it and have it occupied soon," he detailed.
