Marvel Developing Captain America 4 As 'Falcon & Winter Soldier' Follow-Up

*MINOR SPOILERS FOR THE NEW EPISODE OF 'THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER'*

The final episode of the Disney+ series just dropped, but The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog is reporting that Marvel is working on a new Captain America movie with The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer/show creator Malcom Spellman. There is no official word on casting or story, but the expectation is that this fourth installment in the Captain America movie franchise would follow Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson after the events of the series. Spellman is co-writing the script with Dalan Musson, a staff writer on the show.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier leaves lots of interesting story possibilities, having established a partnership between Wilson and Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, introduced disgraced replacement Cap John Walker, and revealed the heartbreaking history of secret post-Steve Rogers super soldier Isaiah Bradley.

Disney+ reported that the March 19 premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was its biggest series debut ever, topping Marvel's WandaVision and Lucasfilm's The Mandalorian.
