LISTEN TO THE PODCAST NOW

Allison Rosen is the lead project coordinator for Baylor College of Medicine in the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center and Dr. Milena Gould-Suarez is an Associate professor at the Baylor college of medicine in gastro ontology. Allison is a colon cancer survivor and she shares her story to inspire young people to get a colonoscopy starting at age 45. Early detection is key and Dr. Gould-Suarez explains what some of the known causes of colon cancer are (processed meat is on the list) and how moderation and good dietary habits can make a healthy life.

The 2019 Get Your Rear in Gear is on Saturday, November 16 at the Baylor College of Medicine (McNair Campus). There's a dog costume contest and the poop emoji will be there for your kids to take pictures with (yep, it's a thing and the kids love it). The event is a 5K timed run, a Kid's run and a 5k walk followed by awards and a family friendly party.
