Our friends at Deer Park Junior High are raising funds to support students and their families who've suffered losses due to the EF3 tornado that ripped through the area on Tuesday, January 24. Many students and staff were hit hard by the storms and these funds will do directly to impacted families.
You've almost certainly seen images of the destruction over the last few days, but the KHOU 11 piece below illustrates how extensive the damage is in Deer Park.
The details are included in the embedded DPJH Facebook post. Organizers are asking that donations be sent via Venmo to @DPJHFAWNS with a note earmarking the funds as Tornado Relief.
