My weekend was filled with a bunch of ups and downs.
On Friday afternoon, I took the kids to H Mart in Katy.
They got to pick three items each and they chose things like fruity drinks, mochi, boba tea and ramen.
They also found these cool do-it-yourself gummi sushi kits.
The kits didn't cost a lot and kept them entertained for a good chunk of time.
Friday night was intense.
A storm rolled in around 10:15 and created a big mess.
There was a bunch of lightning, thunder, wind and rain.
Our street ended up flooding. I checked the gutters, but I didn't find any blockage.
Our whole area was without power until about 2:00am.
The next morning, I found some chunks of fence had fallen.
There were so many fences that had fallen in our neighborhood. The one above nailed our cars pretty good.
Many trees broke in half as well.
There were tree branches and trash everywhere.
I spent Saturday cleaning up that mess.
And then our daughter got sick.
We took her to the doctor on Sunday.
She was given some meds, but still feels pretty lousy.
While I was at HEB buying some over-the-counter stuff, I bought some chips and dip.
This roasted salsa ranch dip is our favorite! Try it.
Finally, Julie and I knocked out another puzzle.
This is a 750-piece puzzle from Ceaco.
It features Donald & his crew on vacation with Mickey and friends.
That's all for now.
Thanks for reading.
