Jay's Weekend In Five Pictures 3/5-3/7

The weekend is something I really look forward to every week. I like being able to shake off some responsibilities and do things I enjoy around the house. I ended up pulling a muscle in my back on Saturday morning which changed some of my plans, but I still managed to get some stuff done.

Remember last weekend when my wife and I started this Beauty & The Beast puzzle? Well, we finished it.

We knocked that one out pretty quickly. The kids were no help.

So, we started another one.

We usually stick to Disney puzzles, but sometimes we try other things. I chose Pokémon!

That puzzle was $10 at Kroger and managed to keep the kids attention. They spent a solid hour trying to complete the bottom rows of characters.

Part of the fun of this one was trying to name all the Pokémon we know. I see Pikachu, Snorlax, Charmander, Blastoise, Meowth and Evee.

Eventually, Julie and I wrapped it up.

That was the quickest 1000-piece puzzle we've ever done. We finished it in under 24 hours.

Our daughter Sophia managed to find a pretty annoying way to drink tea.

She likes to pour it into her cup and scoop it with a spoon. Seriously. I asked her why she drinks it like that and she said, "I like to savor it".

The sound her spoon makes when it scrapes against her aluminum tumbler is like nails on a chalkboard.

My kids can be weird sometimes.

Julie and I wrapped up our weekend watching Oprah's interview with Meghan & Harry.

I was totally fascinated by all two hours of it.

When you watch The Crown on Netflix, you get a glimpse of how "procedural" the monarchy can be. The way they stick to traditions can be quite a blow to them personally. Meghan and Harry shared some eye-opening experiences that were just infuriating.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of reaction comes out of that interview.

Thanks for reading.

-Jay
