As promised, in her first episode of the new season, Ellen DeGeneres does talk about the reports of a toxic work culture on her show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she shares some thoughts on the situation, apologizes straight into the camera, and is joined by her DJ and new co-executive producer Stephen "tWitch" Boss for a discussion.
"I learned that things happened here that never should have happened. I take that very seriously and I want to say I'm so sorry to the people that were affected."
Addressing rumors that she does not live up to the "BE KIND" persona she presents on the show, Ellen says the following:
"I am that person that you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things."
