According to Variety, a sequel to Troop Beverly Hills is in the works. The 1989 comedy starred Shelley Long as a pampered Beverly Hills housewife who takes over as leader of her daughter's Wilderness Girls scout troop. Hijinks ensue as she brings her own style to cookie sales, and camp-outs.
The film has a director (Oran Zegman) and screenwriter (Ayesha Carr), but no details have been released on the story or any of the original cast returning.
Speaking of the original cast, Entertainment Tonight got a bunch of them together for a reunion last year to celebrate the movie's 30th anniversary.
