Fort Bend County and Mattress Mack's Gallery Furniture announced they are opening a Work Texas Job Center that helps the residents get back to work with job assistance, mental health service and food distribution. The center will help these residents get back on their feet due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The resource center will be located at the Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway, 7227 West Grand Parkway South, in Richmond. Here are the services they include:
Job coaching and support
Job coaching and support will be available at the resource center Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services include:
- Human resources coaching
- Resume writing
- Creating social media accounts (LinkedIn)
- Mock interviews
- Networking/ Job searching online.
Mental Health Resources
Our goal is to help Fort Bend Residents find resources to help improve Mental Health & Wellness during this challenging time.
Free of charge, Fort Bend County Mental Health & Wellness experts will help identify needs and refer you to appropriate resources for:
- Stress management
- Anxiety & Worry
- Parenting
- Building Resiliency
Free food for Fort Bend County residents
Mattress Mack with Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway, Fort Bend County Judge KP George and Fort Bend County Commissioner Ken DeMerchant along with the Houston Food Bank will provide free food for Fort Bend County residents.
