Casey credits Goodwill for giving her a purpose and a job that she loves

For more than 32 years, Casey has called Goodwill Houston home. Born with a developmental disability, it was difficult for Casey to find a job. She was introduced to Goodwill Houston when her father moved her family to the Houston area in 1989. She began working as a trainee before being promoted to the role of donation attendant.

 

These days, Casey works at Goodwill’s NASA store as a customer service associate in furniture. Those who work closely with Casey say she has a strong work ethic and a positive demeanor, that she brings to the job every day. Casey credits Goodwill for giving her a purpose as well as a job that she loves, keeps her productive, and helps her to provide support for her family. 

 

Casey says her favorite thing about working at Goodwill is the opportunity to interact with customers. After three decades of working for Goodwill Houston, Casey says she has no intention of stopping anytime soon. She is living proof of Goodwill Houston’s mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work.
