The Big Dance starts this week!
That's a nickname for the NCAA basketball tournament...also known as March Madness.
I expect very little work to be done in the office while March Madness is going on.
Here's a quick look at the bracket schedule:
- First Four - Tuesday (3/14) & Wednesday (3/15)
- First Round (Of 64) - Thursday (3/16) & Friday (3/17)
- Second Round (Of 32) - Saturday (3/18) & Sunday (3/19)
- Sweet 16 - March 23 & 24
- Elite 8 - March 25 & 26
- Final Four - April 1
- Championship - April 3
There are plenty of teams from Texas in the tournament.
They are Houston, Texas, Baylor, TCU, Texas A&M, Texas Southern University and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
University of Houston is the #1 seed in the Midwest region.
Here's when the Texas teams will be playing...
- Tuesday (3/14) - SE Missouri St. vs. Texas A&M CC
- Wednesday (3/15) - Fairleigh Dickinson U. vs. TSU
- Thursday (3/16) - Winner of SE Miss St/Texas A&M CC vs. Alabama
- Thursday (3/16) - Colgate vs. Texas
- Thursday (3/16) - Northern Kentucky vs. Houston
- Thursday (3/16) - Penn State vs. Texas A&M
- Friday (3/17) - UC Santa Barbara vs. Baylor
- Friday (3/17) - Winner of FDU/TSU vs. Purdue
- Friday (3/17) - Winner of Arizona St/Nevada vs. TCU
Houston has a very good chance to win it all, but it's going to a long, tough road to victory.
