UPDATE: The Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger is officially out and on sale at Houston-area locations.
The Lone Star State's favorite burger chain just dropped a new breakfast item and a new shake flavor, but they've got at least one more new menu item up their sleeve and it sounds perfect for fall. The Whataburger Chili Cheese Burger is coming. In fact, it's already out at certain Central Texas locations.
The Official Whataburger subreddit and the Whataburger Fanatics Facebook Group have been buzzing about it for a couple of months, but now there are photos of signage up in restaurants, reports that people have spotted billboards near Bryan-College Station, and reviews from people who've actually tried it.
There's no official description yet, but the leaked signage gives us the following:
- Melty Cheese
- Crunchy Corn Chips
- Crisp Onions
- Tangy Mustard
- Fresh Beef Patties
- Whataburger's Own Chili
