This Sunday At The Astros Game Is Uvalde Strong Day

The Astros are back in Houston this week.

Sunday (August 14) will be a very special day at Minute Maid Park.

In addition to wrapping up Hall of Fame Weekend, it will also be Uvalde Strong Day.

Thousands of tickets to Sunday's game were given to people in Uvalde.

Ten buses, carrying many of those citizens, will be travelling from Uvalde to the ballpark.

There will even be a special pregame ceremony and ceremonial first pitch.

The connection between the Astros and the people of Uvalde has been a strong one.

During the MLB Draft in July, two little league players from Uvalde announced the pick for the Astros.

I also came across THIS ARTICLE about how Jose Altuve inspired one of the young victims.

It's a very emotional read, so be ready.

If you're going to the game, make sure you purchase a Uvalde Strong t-shirt, with all proceeds going to Uvalde Strong efforts.

The winner of the 50/50 raffle will win $10K and the remaining amount will go to Uvalde Strong initiatives.

You can get all the details and learn more HERE.

First pitch on Sunday afternoon is set for 1:10.
