The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo kicks off today!
The concert line-up this year is truly impressive.
Cody Johnson will be taking the stage tonight.
He did the theme song for the Houston rodeo!
I love Cody Johnson. He's a Huntsville native.
I became a fan back in 2017 when he was asked to fill-in for Old Dominion at RodeoHouston. Old Dominion had dropped out because of a death in the family. CoJo was asked to headline the show that night and he rocked it! I never really knew much about him until that point, but I've been a fan ever since.
He would end up headlining again in 2018 and 2019.
Cody was scheduled for 2020, but then the pandemic rolled in.
In 2021, the rodeo held some private events for the kids in the livestock & horse competitions.
CoJo made himself available and gave them a private show.
After that performance, he gave away some autographed guitars.
This guy is just cool.
