Jay Started Watching "Inventing Anna" On Netflix

My wife and I are always looking for new shows to binge.

Everyone kept talking about Inventing Anna on Netflix, so we checked it out.

Here's the trailer...

That looks interesting.

Julia Garner plays Anna Delvey who claims to be a German heiress with a trust fund of $60 million. Anna befriends New York's elite, makes some power moves and ends up with a lot of money and debt she can't pay back....because she isn't real.

There's nine episodes for this show, each one lasts about an hour which makes it easy to binge.

I've made my way halfway through the series so far.

I'm not enjoying it.

It's moving a bit too slow for me. That's why I never finished Squid Game.

I also find some of the dialogue to be a little strange.

Finally, I feel like I'm always coming up with questions I can't answer.

For example, how does she stay in fancy hotels without paying? My credit card is the first thing they run when I book a room.

There was another part where she was denied access to a special VIP party. The two guys she went with got in, but she got denied. The very next scene featured her heading back home on a plane. Did she get into the party? Did the guys just leave her outside? There was no closure for me on this one.

I have a bunch more, but I want to see what you think.

Let me know in the comments.

-Jay
