Cheese, buffalo wings, avocadoes...we've seen all kinds of food shortages lately.
Here's another one to add to the list.
Turkeys!

Meat producers and distributors are saying we could experience a shortage of turkeys this Thanksgiving.
Production issues, reduced labor and increased costs are among the reasons why.
This is mainly for fresh turkeys under 16 pounds, which are the big sellers.
Anything over that should be easier to find.

While a bigger bird sounds like an easy solution, keep in mind the bigger size requires additional time to thaw and cook.
You might also have a ton of leftovers.

While I have no problem eating frozen turkeys, my wife insists on fresh.
