My family and I had a fun weekend in Round Rock at Kalahari Resort.
I didn't really know what to expect, but I was blown away.
As you walk up from the parking lot, you'll see animal monuments and this welcome sign.
The check-in process was pretty smooth.
Every room has a pretty good view of various areas around the resort.
Our room was located just above the outdoor pools.
While the outdoor pools are nice, Kalahari is known for their indoor waterpark.
As we made our way there, we passed by many eateries, shops and the gigantic arcade.
We spent a lot of time in here playing, riding and experiencing almost everything.
The entrance to the indoor waterpark is the red & blue area in the middle of the pic above.
When I walked in, I felt so small compared to everything.
I only took a few pictures in this area because I wanted to go play.
There's a really cool swim-up bar for adults, a pool area just for families, numerous private cabanas, a lazy river, waterslides and this wave pool with a huge TV screen...
There really is something for everybody.
Here's a picture of Cash and I coming out of one of the waterslides.
There are also plenty of dining options.
We had burgers, Italian, Mexican and really tall shakes!
Our kids shared this one that has two donuts on top of it....
That shake was so impressive, the guy next to us took a picture of it to send to his wife.
And yes.....I had one too.
Pool hair, don't care.
Overall, we had a lot of fun!
The drive to Round Rock took only a couple of hours, which wasn't bad at all.
The resort is easy to navigate, I appreciated the family-friendly atmosphere and there was a ton for the kids to do.
We'll be back for sure.
