Houston's Axiom Space Sending These Private Citizens To The ISS

Private space travel took a step forward yesterday!

The crew members for the first-ever privately-funded space mission have been announced.

The Houston-based private company Axiom Space yesterday revealed its first clients to be sent to the International Space Station.

The crew will include a former astronaut who is a VP at Axiom, a former Israeli fighter pilot, a Canadian philanthropist and the second-oldest person to ever fly into space.

Check out the news story below....

The four men will fly to the ISS next year on a SpaceX Crew Dragon under a commercial agreement with NASA.

While this is a first step, average joe’s won’t be able to make a trip anytime soon. It'll cost the crew 55-million-dollars each.

The four guys going will be:

Michael Lopez-Alegria (Ax-1 Commander)

Larry Connor (Ax-1 Pilot)

Mark Pathy (Ax-1 Mission Specialist)

Eytan Stibbe (Ax-1 Mission Specialist)

They'll launch next January and spend eight days aboard the space station.

You can learn more about the crew HERE and HERE.

A trip to space for only $55 million? I'm in....I just need to borrow a few bucks.
