We told you about this one in yesterday's Tell Me Something Good. A young woman in Humble took to Twitter over the weekend to ask for help after her dad told her that his struggling taco truck had only made $6 on Saturday. According to ABC 13, it worked in a big way.
21-year-old Giselle tweeted on Saturday, asking people in the Houston area to support her dad Elias's business Taqueria El Torrito. The tweet blew up with more than 8,000 retweets and nearly 7,000 likes. The effect was immediate. Business picked up on Sunday, and on Monday, Elias was sold out of everything by 2pm and had to close for the day. The story was picked up by tons of Houston media, which resulted an avalanche of local radio and TV coverage. The story has even been covered by NBC's Today and international outlet the Daily Mail.
