Chick-Fil-A Will Reopen Dinning Rooms Soon, With Strict Rules Enforced

As more and more restaurants reopen their dining rooms across the United States, consumers are getting a glimpse into what they can expect when they return for the first time. The latest to share their guidelines is Chick-fil-A.

The chain shared these guidelines in a blog post on Friday. They described these changes as being part of standards called “Safe Service” which the post described as an "unwavering commitment to safety and the highest operating standards to protect the health and well-being of our Guests and Team Members."

Each restaurant location will follow their individual local guidelines and these can also change based on if the location is freestanding or located in a building like a mall food court, but there will be standards across the company as these dining rooms reopen.

Like many others, Chick-fil-A will require team members to have a temperature check and health assessment at the beginning of each shift. They'll also be required to wear facial coverings and to wash uniforms and re-wearable masks before their next shift. Employees will also be required to wash their hands at least every 30 minutes and after touching money.

Restaurants will feature social distancing reminders and employees may be present at the entrance of restaurants to take orders or to encourage adequate spacing between customers. Mobile payment is encouraged, but if you're paying with a credit card, you will be asked to swipe your own card. All drive-thru, delivery, or curbside pick up will be delivered by contactless methods.

Dining rooms will only be opened when individual operators feel comfortable doing so, and may close again as needed. Even dine-in meals will be served in to-go bags. Condiments and beverages will not be open for everyone to access and drink refills will temporarily be suspended. Many tables will also be closed to maintain social distance and outdoor seating will be offered where available.

This is just a bit of Chick-fil-A's 20-page reopening guide. You can also check with your local Chick-fil-A if you have any specific questions.
