According to ABC 13, Food Town is taking care to make sure older shoppers are able to get the groceries they need safely.
Houston-area Food Town stores will open their doors an hour early exclusively for shoppers over the age of 65. The idea is to allow older customers to shop in a less crowded environment. Access will require a state-issued ID or a Texas driver's license to verify the customer's age. The move is a response to grocery stores being overwhelmed with shoppers amid the coronavirus crisis.
Food Town has 30 locations in the Houston area. There's a complete list HERE.
