Alex Bregman Is Being Called The Villain Of Baseball Because Of This

Way back in June as the Astros were hosting the Tampa Bay Rays at Minute Maid Park, something incredible happened.

George Springer, Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve hit back-to-back-to-back home runs!

The Rays pitcher that day was Nathan Eovaldi, who was later traded to the Boston Red Sox.

As we get ready to host game three of the ALCS, guess who the starting pitcher is...Nathan Eovaldi!

In a now-deleted Instagram story on Bregman's account, he posted video of the back-to-back-to-back homers.

No big deal right?...Not so fast...

So many people took offense to that post. It's become a seedy story in the baseball world and some "professionals" are calling Bregman the "villain" of baseball.

Purists are saying there's no place for "trolling" like this in the game.

But what does Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi have to say about Bregman's post?

Of course he's gonna say he's not bothered by it, but we all know that pitchers don't forget.

So, what did Astros Manager AJ Hinch have to say about Alex Bregman trolling?

Alex Bregman has truly become the face and personality of the Astros this season and I see nothing wrong with his post.

Even after all they've accomplished, the Astros are rarely given any kind of national respect. We never seem to be as newsworthy as the Red Sox, Yankees, Dodgers, etc....

And if that's the case, we'll just do our own thing.

The fact that Bregman is being vilified for this makes me so angry. It shouldn't surprise me though after the Astros have been accused of cheating, abusing the shift, and other dumb stuff.

GO GET 'EM ASTROS! WIN IT AGAIN!
