Shining a light on Camp Hope

We wanted to shine a light on Camp Hope, an incredible organization helping veterans battle combat-related PTSD completely free of charge.⁣ ⁣ David joined the show to explain how it works: peer-to-peer support, licensed counselors, equine therapy, and a real community of fellow combat vets who understand what our heroes have been through. Six to nine months of real healing, not just a weekend retreat.⁣ ⁣ It costs the veteran nothing but their time, all because of a community that shows up for our troops in a real way. Right here in Houston, there's truly nothing else like it in the world.⁣

Why You Can't See Hope When You're Still Stuck in the Pit

When you're stuck in the pit, you can't see there's a whole world outside it. Like two embryos in the womb debating whether life after birth even exists. If you've never seen it, you assume it's not real. Sometimes the only way out is someone showing you the view from outside.
