Being a Harry Styles fan, I had been anticipating the release of Harry’s House since its announcement.
The first single from the album, “As It Was”, was released on March 31, 2022.

“As It Was” was inherently a 80s blast from the past and a refresher into the sound of what Harry’s House is like. The official release date for the album was May 20th.
This new album is a reset compared to his older albums Fine Line and Harry Styles. This album being his “favorite thing he’s ever created” according to his interview by Spotify.
I have to say this might be my favorite album that he has ever created!
It has a subtle mix of high speed songs that keep your head bouncing and low speed songs that show true emotion like one of my personal favorite “Matilda”.
The whole time listening to this album, I couldn’t help but think that his music has matured so much with the undeniable funk sound and trumpets that he plays to help keep the uplifting spirit. Many of the lyrics are contrary to the beat of the songs like “Satellite”.
My person top three songs from this album in no particular order are:
- “Cinema”- A song that has a sexy beat to it that seems to refer to possibly his rumored girlfriend, Olivia Wilde.
- “Music For a Sushi Restaurant”- This song seems to have such an uplifting factor with amazing trumpets that keeps your head bouncing. This song is undeniably catchy with his chorus.
- “Love Of My Life”- Styles refers to this song as a tribute to his homeland, England. This a a subtle love letter to this country as he has had to be everywhere around the world at a young age.
