I am not kidding. Back in 2004/2005 a terrible storm destroyed part of a Kansas Zoo and two pink flamingos escaped their enclosure. They have been on the lam ever since. One of the birds was spotted along the Texas coast, about a couple of hours from Galveston. Looking very good and embracing his wild life. Curator of Birds for Houston Zoo says, he looks great and for the most part will be flying freely to Mexico and then comes back to Texas.
There are no plans to recapture the bird. One, its been years and two, an attempt could disrupt the wildlife habitat he has now made as his home.
There is no cause for concern except this pink flamingo out there living his best and fabulous life
