My Top 5 TV Shows *I* Think You Should Start Watching In 2022

Now that there is brand spanking new year, here are some of the tv shows I think you should start if you are in the market for something new to watch. Especially if you are in need of escapism these days. Most shows on my list have multiple seasons out already. I should say, these shows are definitely for an adult audience due to adult language and themes. Definitely some shows more than others. So lets break them down....

#5 We Do In The Shadows on FX.

If you are looking for a funny, slightly ridiculous show then this is it. Its about 4 old world vampires living together on Staten Island being followed by a documentary film crew. I absolutely love it!

#4 Hawkeye on Disney+

A series following the character first introduced by the MCU and also introducing new characters in the story. Clint Barton must partner with Kate Bishop to confront enemies from his past as Ronin in order to get back to his family in time for Christmas.

#3 Stranger Things on Netflix

Ok. So how can I put this? X Files? Quintessential 80s movies with kids and teenagers on adventures? The nostalgia hits hard with this show. A group of friends meet a special girl with special powers? There is government conspiracy. Adolescent angst. The bonds of friendship. Man, I don't want to give away too much because the reveals are pretty great! Several seasons on the books for this show and one more is set to release this summer. Plenty of time to catch up.

#2 The Witcher Netflix

Miss Game of Thrones? I do! This show should help with that. The Witcher is about a witcher. A man who is trained to hunt monsters on a place called the Continent. Season 1 follows his journey and the lives of those he will come to meet and shape all destinies. I know thats not the best description but no spoilers! It adult, A VERY ADULT show. Season 2 just released.

#1 Ted Lasso Apple TV+

This show. All I can say is if you are tired of empty reality shows and shows too violent or too serious to follow, then Ted Lasso is something you should consider. It is funny and it has a lot of heart. About a former college football coach who gets a job as the head coach for a failing soccer club in England. Now this absolutely sounds absurd but the dedication, love, real world experiences that some characters portray helps you identify. This show is filming its season 3 now and by the end of season 2, you will realize just how much of a journey these characters have gone through. Reflection of where so many of us are after the last couple of years.
