The multi-day storm threat for the Greater Houston area continues on Tuesday. And along with that the potential for street flooding.
Bush Intercontinental Airport was facing a ground stop early Tuesday morning, and while it has since been lifted, there are still ground delays of over an hour that are expected to continue until noon.
Our TV partner Channel Two is forecasting another round of scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms. Locally heavy rainfall and isolated street flooding will remain possible, although the exact location of the heaviest rain will depend on where storms develop and train.
Clouds and rain will keep temperatures cooler than normal, with highs only reaching the mid-80s.
There is some good news in the forecast, as it appears that storm chances drop significantly on Wednesday. That said, it's not a zero chance of rain and storms.
