Jennifer Aniston accepted a phone call that took an "emotional turn" while filming season four of "The Morning Show" in New York City on Monday (July 30).
According to Page Six, the actress descended the red carpet steps of the New York Public Library as her character, Alex Levy, and cameras followed her every move. Draped in a stunning, black, velvet gown, the Friends star took a phone call and immediately burst into tears looking "stressed" and "shocked" when she addressed the caller.
As the conversation proceeded, Aniston was photographed gasping, putting her hand over her face, and looking up at the sky as tears streamed down her cheeks. The standout eventually hung up the phone and held it to her chest, debuting an extremely surprised expression. Aniston closed out the dramatic scene by sitting down at the bottom of the long staircase in tears and distress.
Information regarding which character might have been on the other end of the phone call remains a mystery as filming for "The Morning Show" proceeds.
An official season four release date has yet to be announced, but can be expected sometime in 2025, per People.
