Also taking the Shell “Freedom Over Texas” stage will be Sawyer Brown, Step Rideau & The Zydeco Outlaws, Walker County, and Blanco Brown. A musically choreographed fireworks finale will cap off the celebration.

The event will also mark the 60th anniversary of NASA's Johnson Space Center with a special area spotlighting the facility's history and the upcoming Artemis missions to the Moon and beyond. Visitors will have an opportunity to meet NASA astronauts, see robotic demonstrations, take virtual reality trips to the International Space Station, and see other NASA exhibits and activities.

The day and evening of live music and activities for the whole family is expected to draw some 50,000 people and be televised live.

Some proceeds from food and beverage sales at the event will benefit the Houston Food Bank.
