Reward offered for return of Houston-area paramedic’s stolen dog

Ashton Herring, a Houston-area paramedic, has been heartbroken since her dog was stolen from a trainer’s truck outside a restaurant in The Woodlands on Saturday.

Izzie, a 5-year-old sheepadoodle, was inside a kennel in the back of the vehicle.

Trainer Zack Karman had stopped for a training exercise near Landry’s restaurant at The Woodlands Mall around 8 p.m. There, as Karman was working with another dog, a woman reportedly expressed concern to the trainer about the animals' wellbeing.

When the trainer returned to the vehicle, Izzie was gone. Her kennel and collar were found in some nearby bushes, according to Karman.

Herring said Izzie is black-and-white, weighs about 70 pounds, and has more than 4,000 followers on Instagram.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800. A reward is being offered for the dog's safe return.
