The Houston Gamblers have released the schedule for their inaugural season in the new USFL.
The Gamblers, led by general manager and head coach Kevin Sumlin, are one of four teams in the South Division. Sumlin was the head football coach at the University of Houston from 2008 to 2011, Texas A&M from 2012 to 2017, and at the University of Arizona from 2018 to 2020.
The team's quarterback will be either be Clayton Thorson or Kenji Bahar.
Game dates and times have not yet been set, but the league’s first game will be played April 16 between the New Jersey Generals and Birmingham Stallions.
All games in 2022 will be played in Birmingham, Alabama.
