While many of our lives are returning to normal, blood donations tend to decline during the summer because of more family activities and vacations. But the need for blood doesn't take any time off.
There is no substitute for blood. It must be voluntarily donated by one person to be given to another. The need for various blood components – like red blood cells, platelets, plasma and source plasma — is never-ending.
So SUNNY 99.1 is joining the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center June 24–30 for a summer blood drive to save lives.
