It's been a long, long time since we've had a new Marvel movie. Black Widow was originally set to open May 1, 2020, but the pandemic forced Disney and Marvel Studios to delay the release, originally to November 2020. When that date still didn't seem safe they bumped the movie to May 7, 2021. Now that we're weeks away from that date and not quite as recovered as everyone hoped, the movie has another new release date,
Black Widow has officially moved to July 9, but in addition to opening in movie theaters, it will also be available to stream on Disney + for an additional "Premier Access" fee.

In Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, the movie stars Scarlett Johansson reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff. Florence Pugh stars as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.
