Taylor Swift Announces 'Folklore' Concert Special For Disney+

Taylor Swift has a special treat in honor of the Thanksgiving week.

As suspected, Swift shared some big news and announced an intimate concert special of her latest album, folklore, is set for release at midnight on Wednesday (November 24). "Well it's 11/24 and 24-11=13 so I've got an announcement," she captioned the two-minute trailer on Instagram, which references her favorite number. "You haven't seen this film before. folklore: the long pond studio sessions will be out tonight at midnight PST on @DisneyPlus! #folkloreOnDisneyPlus."

In the trailer, Swifties catch the pop superstar performing album cuts like "cardigan" and "august" at Long Pond Studios in Hudson Valley, New York, along projects collaborators Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Fun fact: Long Pond Studios happens to be Dessner's go-to creative threshold for recording music.

"It's an album that allows you to feel your feelings and it's a product of isolation," Swift says of the record-breaking LP in the trailer. "This could have been a time where I absolutely lost my mind and instead, I think this album was a real flotation device for both of us."

Another scene sees Antonoff admit that he’s never worked an album in a similar fashion as folklore and Swift shares her gratitude for their collaborative approach. "I was so glad that we did because it turned out that everyone needed a good cry as well as us," she says.
