Selena Inspired Slurpee Flavor Available For 24 Hours

We've been talking up their Selena Commemorative cups series. Now Stripes Stores locations are selling a special Slurpee flavor inspired by the Queen of Tejano Music!

A release on the product launch explains that the Stripes team with worked with Selena's sister Suzette to create the frozen drink using her favorite childhood flavors – sour cherry, lime and salt. And they even made it in Selena's signature purple color.

Suzette Quintanilla said the following on the drink and its connection to her memories of her sister:

"Selena loved cherry-flavored drink packets mixed with salt growing up. She would create her own packets and would sell them to friends at school for 10 cents. She enjoyed the sour and salty taste the combination created and adding lime to this made the perfect combination for this special Slurpee drink. I have such great memories of us riding our bikes after school to get Slurpee drinks, so being able to create a Selena-inspired Slurpee drink for just 25 cents is our way to say 'Thank You' to all her fans that are remembering her with so much love."

The Selena inspired Sour Cherry with Lime and Salt Slurpee went on sale this morning at 7am and will only be available until tomorrow, September 26, at 8am. It sounds awesome and it's only 25 cents! If you want to check it out, find a location here.
