Meet Kai Shappley! Her battle as a transgender girl started at a very young age. When she entered kindergarten at Pearland ISD, she was told that she needed to use the boy's bathroom. After her mother fought for her daughter's rights, they decided to move to Austin for Kai to be allowed equal treatment and opportunities. Kai's story gained national attention, which got her a role on the new Netflix series reboot of The Baby-Sitters Club. She plays Bailey, a transgender girl.
