Nickelodeon star JoJo Siwa made a huge splash last night with a TikTok video where she took her hair out of the omnipresent side ponytail and ditched her usual style (bright colors, lots of pink, glitter, and sequins) for a simple black Gucci t-shirt.
Now 17, Siwa got her start appearing with her mother on the show Dance Moms, then went on to become a YouTube sensation and a kid-friendly pop music star. Over the past few years Siwa has released TV shows, books, dolls, fashion and home decor lines at Claire's and J.C. Penney...all built on a cute, family-friendly, bubblegum image. The TikTok video may not seem like a big deal, but her fans are abuzz this morning, speculating that she's nearing the end of her Nickelodeon contract and is about to announce some major changes.
