Chipotle Will Donate a Meal to a Healthcare Worker When You Use This Code

Chipotle announced a buy one, donate one program this week where it will donate a burrito to medical professionals every time a customer purchases one and enters a special code.

Starting Tuesday, whenChipotle customers build a burrito on Chipotle.com or the Chipotle app, a prompt will pop up asking for a name. If customers name it "4HEROES," Chipotle will donate a burrito to healthcare workers. To clarify, you still get your burrito, but Chipotle will then donate one to frontline workers at no cost to you.

Chipotle will donate up to 100,000 burritos to healthcare workers through this program, which customers can participate in from April 21 through April 26. Healthcare workers will then be able to sign up for a chance to receive their free burritos starting on Nurses Day, which is May 6.

The promo only applies when you purchase regular-priced burritos only via order.chipotle.com or the Chipotle mobile app, so make sure you're keeping that in mind. Chipotle is also offering free delivery through the end of April, so no worries there.

If you're looking for another way to help those on the frontlines while still getting your Chipotle fix from now through May 31, Chipotle will be matching 10 percent of its “Thank You” e-gift card purchases—up to a maximum of $250,000—and giving to Direct Relief, an organization working to provide personal protective equipment and essential medical items to healthcare workers in the U.S. and around the world.
