VooDoo Doughnut Now Open In Houston

It's National Bagel Day, but there's also huge Houston doughnut news this morning. VooDoo Doughnut, the iconic Portland doughnut shop turned chain, just opened the doors at it's first Houston location.

The first shop opened in downtown Portland in 2003 and quickly became know nationwide for it's wild toppings and its devoted customer base. According to the Houston Chronicle, Anthony Bourdain put VooDoo on the map in 2007 when he featured the shop and its signature Bacon Maple Bar on his Travel Channel Show "No Reservations." In addition to bacon, the menu features doughnuts topped with Tang, Cap'n Crunch, Fruit Loops, and more. The Houston store is only the ninth to open, joining locations in Eugene, Denver, Austin, LA, and Orlando.

You can check them out at 3715 Washington Ave.
