UPDATE: As of 6:50 this morning, HPD Tweeted that the suspect is in custody and the baby is safe.
ORIGINAL: HPD says they have a negotiation team and SWAT officers surrounding a residence in northeast Houston this morning after a report of domestic violence.
The police were called to the scene just before 4 o'clock this morning, and they say that as of now there is an armed man barricaded in the apartment, and that there is also a one-year old child with him.
HPD says the female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries suffered during the domestic assault.
