The lawsuit filed two weeks ago against a popular Houston restaurant has gone away.
That lawsuit, filed by a group of residents against Turkey Leg Hut, claimed that smoke from the restaurant was a public hazard. John Zavitsnos, lead counsel for Turkey Leg Hut, tells KTRH it's a total win for his clients.
"It means the restaurant can continue operating without the fear of this concerted effort on the part of a handful of residents in that area to try and shut them down," Zavitsanos explained.
Zavitsanos also says the lawsuit being dropped sends a message to every business owner.
"Business owners should not knuckle under at the first allegation of any kind of impropriety," he stated.
The owners of Turkey Leg Hut are glad to have this behind them as well.
