Carrie Bradshaw may have had a penchant for Cosmopolitans, but for Sarah Jessica Parker, the actress who portrayed her, it’s all about wine. In fact, the 53-year-old star recently announced plans to launch her own collection of wines, which is expected to debut this summer.
To get into the wine-making biz, Parker teamed up with Invivo Wines – a New Zealand-based winery founded by winemaker Rob Cameron and his good friend Tim Lightbourne in 2007. The duo met with theSex and the Cityalum in New York City in December 2018 to talk about her love of the drink.
“At the end of the work day, I have a glass of wine. Literally, every single day. Every. Single. Day,” theDivorcestar said in a recently released YouTube clip. Believe it or not, she’s even been known to get creative when it comes to her wine vessels explaining, “I don’t use wine glasses, I just use empty jars. And I’m not kidding.”
Though there’s no exact release date for SJP’s wine collection just yet, interested parties can stay updated on the launch via theInvivo website, and can even enter to win a signed, framed wine label from the star herself.
Per cofounder Rob Cameron, Parker’s line will look and taste expensive (think $250 a bottle) but will sport an affordable price tag. “I’m really looking forward to it,” she said of the wine line’s impending debut. “I feel really lucky.”
Added the Ohio native: “It’s pretty freakin’ special.”
