Last weekend for the Rodeo Houston

If people were still flocking to Rodeo Houston during wet and freezing nights, there's no excuse this last weekend.

After several cold and rainy days, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo president and CEO Joel Cowley says great weather in the final weekend should bring in a good crowd.

“We anticipate that George Strait will break the all-time NRG Stadium attendance record. That stands at 80,020 and we think we can squeeze a few more folks in there,” said Cowley.

It's been a recording breaking year at Rodeo Houston.

Cowley said Cardi B. broke Garth Brook's record. Then a few days later, Los Tigres Norte broke Cardi's record.

And, the fun continues tonight into the weekend.

“Chris Stapleton, Cody Johnson, Brad Paisley to close out our Championship of Super Series. Then, of course, we close everything out with a George Strait concert on Sunday,” said Cowley.

Rodeo Houston closes out with the fan favorite--donkey and mule shows at 8 am tomorrow and Sunday.
