Janet Jackson Announces Las Vegas Residency 'Metamorphosis' [VIDEO]

Janet Jackson is taking her talents to Sin City.

The “Rhythm Nation” singer is kicking off a three-month Las Vegas residency in May called Metamorphosis, she announced Monday.

“Hey u guys, I’m so excited to announce my new Vegas residency, ‘Metamorphosis’!” the star wrote on Instagram.

Jackson, 52, will hold court in the Park Theater at Park MGM resort for 15 dates stretching from May to August.

A press release for the show said it will peel “back the layers” of the six-time Grammy winner’s “immensely private life,” and chronicle her journey from “a young girl with issues of self-esteem to global icon.”

“The centerpiece of this all new thought-provoking show, will be Janet herself, captivating you through your senses with electrifying visuals, explosive dance numbers, chart-topping hits and fan favorite deep cuts,” the release reads.

Metamorphosis will also feature a special celebration to mark the 30th anniversary of the albumRhythm Nation 1814.

Tickets for the show go on sale March 2 at 7 a.m. EST/10 a.m. PST, though members of Jackson’s fan club will receive access to a presale starting Feb. 27 at 7 a.m. EST/10 a.m. PST. Citi cardmembers will also be able to buy presale tickets starting Feb. 27 at 9 a.m. EST/12 p.m. PST and ending March 1 at 7 p.m. EST/10 p.m. PST.

Jackson’s shows will take place May 17, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, July 24, 26, 27, 31 and August 2, 3, 7, 9, 10.
