Trauma Dogs Deployed to Santa Fe

Two specially trained golden retrievers are helping shooting survivors cope with their trauma.

Two-year-old Gabriel and 20-month-old Joy are both products of the Chicago-based Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry.  Gabriel is stationed at a church in Houston, and Joy is with a church near Santa Fe.

Both dogs attended vigils and events after the shootings at Santa Fe High School.  Gabriel also went to Sutherland Springs and Parkland, Florida.
