Halsey Cancels Show in Canada Due To 'Personal Emergency'

After stopping her Alberta, Canada, concert mid-set late Tuesday (Nov. 14), Halsey has cancelled the rest of the Canadian leg of her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour.  The following night's show in Edmonton was also called off at the last minute. Promoters for Live Nation gave little detail as they explained in a statement, "Due to a personal emergency, Halsey will be unable to perform tonight at Rogers Place in Edmonton."

Late Wednesday (Nov. 15) Halsey posted a statement on her Instagram account, to which she later added in an edited caption, "The rest of tour is resuming as planned. Please respect the privacy of myself and those close to me."

The statement reads, “I’m so sorry to the fans in Calgary and Edmonton who were effected by the cancellations. There are very few things in this world that could make me stop a show, and my fans know that. This is breaking my heart but I have to take a few days to gain my composure so I can put on the best show possible in Minneapolis and finish out the tour with a bang. I’ll make it up to the fans in Canada. Thank you for understanding and respecting the privacy of me and those close to me during this time. I love you."

The Hopeless Fountain Kingdom Tour is set to resume on Nov. 18 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A spokesperson for Halsey could not be reached for comment at press time.
