Country pop star Shania Twain sets Houston date

Shania Twain, one of the best-selling artists of all time, is back to reclaim her throne.

The country superstar performs June 9 at Toyota Center. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 25 via the venue site. Expect a quick sell out.

Twain became a country and pop superstar on the strength of three albums: "The Woman in Me," "Come on Over" and "Up." They produced a string of iconic singles and videos that made her a blueprint for crossover success.

Each album was certified diamond for sales on 10 million copies each. "Come On Over" stands as the best-selling album from a woman of all time and the best-selling country album of all time.

Twain's fifth studio album and first in 15 years, Now," is due Sept. 29. It's been preceded by the single "Life's About to Get Good." New single "Swingin' With My Eyes Closed" was just released.

She will perform new songs and classic hits at the Opening Night Ceremony for the 2017 US Open, which will air Aug. 28 on ESPN2.
