Houston Zoo brings favorite animals to life with 770,000 tiny plastic LEGO blocks

The Houston Zoo is presenting younger patrons’ favorite animals in a larger-than-life perspective through LEGO interconnected tiny blocks now through Sept. 4.

The “Nature Connects” display opened to the public on May 27, in time for the Memorial Day weekend.

The sculpture garden includes more than 770,000 LEGO bricks and it took more than 6,500 hours to construct.
